Faculty and students from the Department of Early Childhood Education at Nanhua University recently returned to Taiwan and shared the results of their overseas internship in Germany, showcasing the fruitful achievements of the Ministry of Education's University Social Responsibility (USR) project: "Transforming Rural Areas with Technology, Connecting the World through Reading." During their summer internship at a bilingual kindergarten in Berlin, Germany, the team brought AR bilingual picture books—co-created with children in rural Taiwan— to share with the local kindergarten. By combining digital technology with professional storytelling skills, they attracted an enthusiastic response from German teachers and students. This not only demonstrated Taiwan's innovative achievements in early childhood education, but also allowed the creativity of rural children to transcend borders and shine on the international stage, writing a new chapter in transnational exchange in early childhood education.
