Founded by Fo Guang Shan, Nanhua University continues to expand its international cooperation by deepening academic partnerships with several prestigious universities in Malaysia. These efforts aim to promote study-abroad programs, faculty exchanges, and transnational collaboration. From July 4 to 8, Vice President Yueh-Chiao Yeh led a delegation to Malaysia for educational exchanges and hosted an alumni dinner in Kuala Lumpur to strengthen ties with overseas alumni.
President Chin-Hsung Kao stated that with the assistance of Venerable Jue-Cheng, the Chief Abbot of the Fo Guang Shan Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia region, Nanhua University established its Malaysian Alumni Association in 2025 and joined the Federation of Alumni Associations of Taiwan Universities, Malaysia (FAATUM). This has become a vital platform for connecting alumni and fostering collaboration. The dinner invited numerous representatives from the overseas Chinese community, the education sector, and Malaysian alumni who studied in Taiwan to engage in networking and dialogue.
Nanhua University actively advances its internationalization efforts, currently hosting over 250 international students and has received funding from the Ministry of Education's International Elite Program. Looking ahead, the University will continue to recruit Malaysian students while encouraging Taiwanese students to pursue studies and internships in Malaysia, thereby fulfilling its vision of "Nurturing Communities Locally, Connecting Globally.”
