Baseball Pitcher Wong Wei-jun of Nanhua University Named in first round recruitment by the national Taoyuan Lamigo Monkeys.
In recent years, Nanhua University has promoted baseball, its baseball team, and cultivated sports players. The university baseball team has been established for less than two years and has achieved good results in tournaments. Recently, freshmen sportsman, Wong Wei-jun, was picked up by the Taoyuan Lamigo Monkeys in first round rookie draft picks. Wong’s place in the ranking was in the top three. Wong Wei-jun is currently able to throw his fastball up to 146 kilometers per hour, with an average speed of 140 kilometers per hour. His abilities include a fastball, splitter, and cutter. He has a variety of pitching techniques and is rated as a quality starter in the league. The university remains proud and supportive to him. Wong Wei-jun said, "In addition to thanking my parents for their support, I would also like to thank everyone associated with baseball, including the coaches, teachers, teammates. and classmates who have supported me. I also want to thank the Lamigo Monkeys for giving me the opportunity, and a future. I will continue to work hard to improve my skills, and I hope that I will be able to stand on a bigger stage with outstanding results, so that I can live up to everyone's expectations.
