Nanhua University Hosts International Conference: Scholars from 12 Countries Discuss Health and Sustainable Development

 

Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, Nanhua University held an international conference on March 27 titled "University Partnerships for Promoting Health and Environmental Sustainability." Distinguished guests attending the event included Vice President Shin-Yuan Hung of National Chung Cheng University, Vice President Jo-Shu Chang of Tunghai University, President Supakorn Pongbangpho of the University of Phayao (Thailand), and Professor Sheng-Yu Huang of Universiti Malaya (Malaysia). The conference also invited Dr. Tsong-ming Lin, President of Fo Guang Shan University Consortium, to provide guidance and serve as the moderator for Theme Four: Equitable Education and Global Citizenship.
 
Nanhua University President Chin-Hsung Kao, accompanied by Vice Presidents Yueh-Chiao Yeh and Shu-Ling Lai, along with other senior management, attended the opening ceremony alongside nearly 200 experts and scholars from 12 countries. Dean of General Affairs Yi-Hsiang Pan and Dean of the College of Science and Technology Bo-ching Chen not only attended the opening ceremony but also served as panelists for Theme One: The Role of University in Climate Change and Theme Two: Youth Well-being and Sustainable Health, respectively. Their contributions highlighted Nanhua University’s achievements in climate change initiatives and sustainable health for attendees.
