To advance Taiwan-U.S. higher education exchanges and international student recruitment cooperation, the Ministry of Education, for the first time, led a delegation to participate in the "2026 NAFSA Annual Conference & Expo" held in Orlando, Florida. Nanhua University President Chin-Hsung Kao, together with Dr. Ching-Cheng Huang, Director of the Bachelor's Degree Program in Semiconductor Applications, joined Minister of Education Ying-Yao Cheng at the event, demonstrating Nanhua University's strong commitment to internationalization and semiconductor talent cultivation. The University also actively sought to attract American high school students, undergraduate students, and master's students to Taiwan to enroll in semiconductor courses, participate in internship training, and take Chinese language courses.
 
Nanhua University President Chin-Hsung Kao stated that Fo Guang Shan, through the efforts of millions of donors, has established five universities worldwide, and through more than 300 branches globally, collectively promotes Humanistic Buddhism and educational and cultural endeavors. During this visit to the U.S., the delegation visited Guang Ming Temple in Orlando. With the assistance of Abbot Venerable Ru-Yuan, an exchange seminar was organized with about 40 devotees. In addition to sharing the University's recent achievements and development goals, the seminar focused on introducing the University's semiconductor talent cultivation and future plans for Chinese faculty exchanges, student internships, and international cooperation. During the seminar, the participating devotees expressed strong approval of Nanhua University's educational philosophy and accomplishments, and voiced their support for Taiwan's efforts in technological development and educational innovation. Many devotees indicated that they would encourage their relatives and friends' children to come to Taiwan to study Chinese and further participate in internships and employment opportunities in the semiconductor and other tech industries, injecting greater momentum into Taiwan-U.S. educational exchanges and talent cultivation.
