Nanhua University Adheres to Ancient Rites in Coming-of-Age Ceremony: 928 Students Embark on a New Chapter in Life

Nanhua University's annual Coming-of-Age Ceremony was held with grand solemnity on December 6, 2025. A total of 928 students entered adulthood, with 182 sets of parents participating in the "First Capping" ritual and over 400 parents attending the ceremony to witness this pivotal moment as their child transitioned from youth to adulthood. On behalf of Most Venerable Hsin Bau, Resident Director Venerable Chue-Yu provided guidance and led all participants in reciting Venerable Master Hsing Yun's "Coming-of-Age Prayer."

The Coming-of-Age Ceremony has been a cornerstone tradition at Nanhua University since its founding and carries significant educational meaning. Each year, the ceremony follows ancient traditional rituals. This solemn event marks the transition of first-year students into adulthood. In addition to the ceremonial proceedings, a "Parent-Teacher Meeting" was held to foster closer interaction and communication between parents and faculty members, helping them understand their child’s campus life and academic progress. Furthermore, Nanhua University also held the "Coming-of-Age: Practicing the Three Acts of Goodness" through Self-Awareness course. This enables students to deepen their understanding of life education and the philosophy of the Three Acts of Goodness, and to learn the importance of accountability and responsibilities.
