Nanhua University Signs Cooperation Agreement with Nalanda University, Renewing the Bond for Buddhist Development Between Taiwan and India


The founding patriarch of Fo Guang Shan, Venerable Master Hsing-Yun, founded Nanhua University through the collective efforts of millions of supporters. The University continues to actively expand its international exchanges, and for five consecutive years, Nanhua University has been ranked in the UniRank “World Buddhist University Rankings.” From its core philosophy of Humanistic Buddhism to its deep commitment to life education and environmental sustainability, the University has received numerous awards and widespread acclaim both domestically and internationally.

On December 2, Nanhua University President Chin-Hsung Kao, accompanied by Venerable Chue-Ming, Director of the Graduate Institute of Religious Studies, and colleagues from the Office of International and Cross-strait Affairs, traveled to India where they engaged in in-depth academic exchanges and cooperation with Nalanda University, with the goal of renewing and strengthening ties for Buddhist development between Taiwan and India.
