Nanhua University Expands Global Engagement and Cultural Legacy - Establishes Malaysia Alumni Association
From December 22 to 29, 2024, Nanhua University President Chin-Hsung Kao and the Dean of International and Cross-strait Affairs Prof. Chun-Chun Lin traveled to Malaysia to attend Kedah State's "Sounds of Kedah River Arts Festival II" in which four students from the Department of Ethnomusicology participated. In addition, they also met with Venerable Jue Cheng, the Chief Abbot of Fo Guang Shan's Singapore-Malaysia-Thailand-Indonesia region, at Dong Chan Temple to share the University's academic achievements and international student scholarship programs. Discussions were made regarding the establishment of the "Malaysia Nanhua University Alumni Association" and the organization of a banquet for 30 alumni members. This initiative aimed to strengthen long-term connections with overseas alumni to enhance both the quality and quantity of international students. Nanhua University anticipates this alumni network will significantly contribute to cultivating exceptional global talent while reinforcing Nanhua's international presence.
