Formed alliances with University of California at Dhammakaya and France wins University which both established by Dhammakaya in Thailand.

To promote internationalization and provide students with more oversea learning sources, Nan Hua university is doing the best in developing oversea exchanges and cooperation, and aggressively forming alliances with universities all over the world. Recently, Nan Hua University College of Humanities Kai-Wen Lu who represented the principal, went to Thailand and officially signed an academic exchanges agreement, both of the university will have more international cooperation in the future.

Nan Hua University College of Humanities president of a university said that Dhammakaya is the biggest temple in Thailand , their practice areas in the country and oversea is located in all the five continents and contributed a lot to the promotion of Theravada Buddhism. They visited Nan Hua University many times in recent years and have a close academic exchange with their religious research institute. In order to broaden the depth and width of the cooperation in the future, we especially formed a cooperation with them. University of California at Dhammakaya is enrolled in California, America, adopting remote internet teaching, promoting the academy and education of Buddhism.France wins University is located in theBuddhist College whereDhammakaya Temple and Buddhist Sangha is studying. Nan Hua University and both of them are all established by religion, so it is meaningful that we formed an agreement.

The signing ceremony is held in Dhammakaya in Thailand. Nan Hua University College of Humanities Kai-Wen Lu, who represented the principal ,and the principal of France wins University Principal Phramaha Somchai Thanavuddho attended and signed. The ceremony have three parts, first, start from showing the school-introducing video, let people and monks who attended and it’s about 300 people knew the history of schools. Second, both sides delivered speeches. On one hand, Kai-Wen Lu represented Nan Hua University and give a speech with the theme “situations of Buddhist research in Taiwan” and talked about the future hope of cooperation. On the other hand, principal Phramaha Somchai Thanavuddho represented University of California at Dhammakaya and France wins University, mentioned the history ofFo Guang Shan Temple and Dhammakaya becoming brother temple, also, he talked about a story in 1996 when he visited there and Nan Hua University is establishing . At last, the agreement is officially signed with 300 audiences on the scene clapping their hands and witnessing, and start to held exchanging activity.

During this visit, Kai-Wen Lu was also enthusiastically accommodated byMiss Huang Kanru with the Sri Lankan Prof. G.A.Somaratne, visited the DTP, Dhammachai Tipitaka Project. This project try to useBali Bayeux from many other countries as copy, largely improved the mistakes of the version of Pali Text Society in England. Nan Hua University planed to help the two university plan great internet Chinese learning courses. If it’s time in the future, people will have a close talk about publishing the Chinese version of the newly translated Pali Tripitaka.
